Muddy Boots Garden Services are a husband and wife gardening team from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. We started out as weekend hobby gardeners and during this time developed our own garden as a break from our day jobs working as professional engineers in the quality department of an automotive manufacturing plant. In 2020 we are in our sixth year of gardening as a business.
A decision to embark on a career break after 20 years gave us some much needed thinking time which led us both into volunteering (for the National Trust in the gardens at Hanbury Hall and for the Canal & River Trust in Worcestershire). Working in the great outdoors, whether it be in the sunshine or the wind and rain, was literally a breath of fresh air and one that we wanted more of.
Working in the automotive industry has taught us the importance of customer service. We can bring this to our gardening business by ensuring that we always listen to what our clients want and provide a reliable service. We recognise that some of our clients may be experienced gardeners who may no longer have the time or energy to do most of the work themselves and we are happy to work with you, using your knowledge of your own garden to look after it the way you want it to be done. Equally if you are not an experienced gardener we will take the lead on maintaining your garden to a high standard and suggest ways in which the garden could be enhanced along the way. We will always communicate our work plans by phone, email or text, whichever is preferred by the client, and keep you updated with progress on garden projects.
My wife has completed a garden design course at Pershore College (well known for its horticultural courses) which was aimed at redesigning your own garden. Since then she has studied for and achieved her RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture having passed all eight exams, seven of which were passed with commendation. She has also gained very valuable practical gardening experience through volunteering in the extensive gardens at Hanbury Hall. She is a dab hand at cutting box hedging!
At Muddy Boots we understand that gardening can get a bit messy but we will always respect your garden and take precautions to minimise any mess. It goes without saying that we will always clean up after ourselves!
Throughout our careers we have worked together extensively and have always been a good team. We have now brought that excellent teamwork to our own business and we are sure you will find us a professional, hardworking and friendly team.
